Finding the right words to express how we feel about recent events has felt impossible.
Likely because we’re not just responding to a singular event to strongly condemn the brutality and injustice of the treatment of black and minority people, but rather the entirety of an event that is serving as the tipping point to addressing systemic issues that plague a system of which we, as individuals on the leadership team and this company, have benefited from.
Where our words have failed us, we pledge to make our actions speak louder.
The message of the Black Lives Matter movement has been heard and felt. We need to be actively anti-racist. We will examine everything—from recruitment and retention, to internal programs, policies, and supports, to where we spend our philanthropic dollars, and how we educate ourselves and use our positions as individuals and as a company to do better.
We didn’t want to put out a simple message of support but rather a public acknowledgement that we need to do better, that we’ve got work to do and we intend to be held accountable to do it.
Over the short and long term, we will be listening, making changes, and sharing how iQmetrix actively stands for equality and allyship.
