iQmetrix Wants to See Women Succeed in Tech
Being a female in the technology sector isn’t easy but iQmetrix wants to ensure everyone gets to participate in this diverse, innovative, and collaborative industry. To ensure young women have a chance to see their tech dreams become a reality, iQmetrix is announcing the 2019 Women in Technology (WIT) Scholarship Award.
In an effort to support women who are looking to be industry professionals, three female-identifying students seeking a tech-oriented education will be awarded one of the WIT scholarships.
Post-Secondary Applicants
Those who apply must be female-identifying post-secondary students currently enrolled in a full-time program based on computer science in Manitoba.
This scholarship winner will receive a total funding amount of $1,000.
For High-School Applicants
Those who apply must be a female-identifying student who graduated in 2019 and are beginning studies in a computer-science related field at a Manitoba post-secondary institution.
This scholarship winner will receive a total funding amount of $1,000.

In addition to these bursaries, iQmetrix is looking to help foster interest and excitement about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) with the next generation of females in tech. That’s why we’re looking to pair up with schools and provide STEM-focused toys to help them learn, grow, and have fun.
STEM Supplies for Classrooms
Awarded to a teacher or school leader who wants to supply STEM toys to their classrooms, ensuring young women and girls have the chance to show interest in these areas of study through exposure at a young age. Applicable for elementary and junior high aged classrooms.
