Our Five Favorite Experiences of Last Year’s SummitX

Were you at SummitX 2024 last October — or maybe you wish you had been?
With super-early-bird registrations for our California-based SummitX 2025 nearly done and bookings well under way, we can’t help but look back on the 2024 event in Arizona last fall. We made so many great memories in Scottsdale, from brief but glittering moments to experiences that lasted the entire event. But all this nostalgia does beg the question: what were our top five highlights of last year’s event?
Glad you asked! Here, we count down our five favorite things about last year’s SummitX. And who knows? Maybe they’ll inspire you.
5. The venue itself: The JW Camelback Scottsdale Resort and Spa

Last year’s venue, the JW Camelback Scottsdale Resort and Spa in Arizona, was a truly breathtaking desert destination that made for a magical experience! Special shout-out to the pueblo-style architecture, the awesome restaurants, the mountain views, and the gorgeous landscaping.
Fortunately, for SummitX 2025, we have a venue that is equally as stunning. The Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California, is absolutely amazing and has to be seen to be believed. Did you catch the photo tour blog post of the venue that we published recently? Check it out — you won’t be disappointed.
4. The sessions and showcases

We were rather proud of the SummitX session content, along with the Product and Vendor Showcases, if we say so ourselves. In fact, we don’t have to say so ourselves, given that so many of you who attended have been gushing about it ever since! Here are just some of the awesome things attendees had to say:
- “SummitX was electrifying and unforgettable. An incredible opportunity to network with industry peers and connect with a multitude of experts. The chance to learn and collaborate is simply priceless. An amazing experience!” — Andy Rash, Director of Retail Technology, Victra
- “SummitX was an outstanding experience! iQmetrix curated sessions that were highly relevant to the telecom retail space, packed with actionable insights, emerging trends, and strategies tailored to our unique challenges.” — Phil Hunter, Manager of Consumer Sales, Tbaytel
- “We found SummitX to be an incredibly valuable investment for our team. The event introduced us to innovative ways of thinking and working that we are eager to implement.” — Gerald Buchko, CEO, Jump.ca
At this year’s SummitX, you can expect the session content and the exhibitor showcases to be just as insightful and inspiring, if not even better! We can’t wait to share the agenda with you soon.
3. The keynote presentations

Our keynote speakers — all four of them — were truly exceptional. Attendees came away from these presentations motivated and invigorated. We had:
- Tim Tebow: NFL star, former baseball player, sports commentator, and public speaker Tim Tebow delivered an inspiring and emotional keynote about empathy in leadership and compassion with colleagues, and how that creates real business results.
- Adam “Smiley” Poswolsky: A leading workplace culture guru, Smiley delivered a deeply inspiring and utterly engaging talk on how human connection is essential to workplace culture, and how belonging is a bottom-line business issue.
- Shelly Palmer: This tech visionary, professor, and well-known CNN and CNBC commentator offered an unmissable keynote presentation on how AI is transforming not just the telecom space but every aspect of our working lives.
- Josh Linkner: Start-up venture capitalist and entrepreneur Josh Linkner, also an accomplished jazz musician, offered a fascinating keynote on creativity and adaptability in business, and set out his Find a Way five-step framework for success.
- Plus we had a series of external speakers who inspired our attendees with sessions on retail, eSIM technology, AI applications in wireless retail, and more! All of which you can find recapped on our blog page.
We can’t reveal our 2025 keynote presenter line-up just yet, but rest assured that we will have equally incredible presenters this year, all of whom will bring a fresh perspective to your business practices.
2. The drone show at the Monday Night Party

Our Western Speakeasy-themed Monday Night Party was epic, the food was delicious, the cocktails were on point, and the mountainside Wild West town setting was stunning. However, we all agree that the best moment of the night was the surprise drone show!
Narrated by our AI representative AiQ, the show picked up the story where AiQ had left attendees on a cliffhanger during the iQmetrix Industry Address presentation earlier in the day. Our narrator — and the spectacular drone visuals — took the audience through the history of human communication, from cave paintings to the modern smartphone with AI capabilities. And of course, the story recognized the most important thing of all, which is…
1. Making human connections and being in person with all of you!

Truly, the best part of SummitX, and all our previous events, has been spending time and making memories with all of you — our clients and partners, many of whom have also become friends. Some of us have been working together for years now, and we have long-standing relationships with many of you that we value more than we can say.
Thank you, to all who attended. For even more highlights, check out the round-up video of last year’s event, below.
We can’t wait to make even more memories with you in California this October. It’s going to be awesome!
It’s the last week to nab a discounted spot via our super-early-bird half-price registration offer — just $425 until May 31, after which prices will go up!
