CNET reported yesterday (April 8) that Comcast, the largest residential cable and high-speed Internet provider in the U.S., is considering becoming a mobile phone service provider.

Google provided a video update to its modular phone project, Project Ara, upon which it's partnered with Phonebloks.

TechCrunch reported today that Google is rumored to have met with Verizon officials about the possibility of creating a Google-branded MVNO (mobile virtual network operator).

Today, Google unveiled an official marketing campaign for its new smartwatch SDK (which we blogged about last week), called Android Wear. The concept is demonstrated in the video below.

Soon after the Android Wear news came out, Motorola announced the moto 360 smartwatch, "powered by Android Wear" and expected for release this summer. The watch in the video appears to be a moto 360.

TechCrunch reports that news out of SXSW yesterday (March 9) is that Google will be releasing a software development kit (SDK) for smart watches and wearable devices two weeks from now.

Google's modular smartphone venture, Project Ara, was in the news this week, as BGR reported on possibility of including 3D Printing in the customization of smartphones (Feb. 26). BGR also noted that even though Project Ara debuted under Motorola (which was recently purchased by Lenovo), it will remain under Google.

For the past couple weeks, rumors swirled that Nokia would release an Android phone. We even saw leaked photos of the alleged phone (Feb. 20).

Today at Mobile World Congress, Nokia confirmed those rumors, announcing an entire line of Android devices called the Nokia X line. The 89 Euro Nokia X is set to go on sale immediately.

The New York Times' Nick Bilton reported Tuesday (Feb. 19) that Google has released a Do's & Don'ts list "for those who wear Glass, with a number of suggestions that might help non-Glass wearers feel more comfortable."

More specifically, he detailed how many companies (whose redesigned stores we've featured on our blog) are focusing their efforts less on selling per se, and more on the overall in-store experience.
