Post-CTIA Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Effort: Giving Back to New Orleans

The day after CTIA 2012, iQmetrix -- along with client Connectivity Source and partners ProtectCell and Phobio -- donated money and volunteered time to Habitat for Humanity, to help rebuild homes destroyed by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The following is a blog post written by Kelly Markewich, iQmetrix Enterprise Account Manager, about his experience volunteering that day.

Our theme at CTIA this year was "Energizing Retail End to End," and this means connecting virtual (online and mobile) and physical (in-store) retail channels, and managing these channels from the back-of-house operations (RQ4) to the front-of-house customer experience (XQ).

The central hub for all of these retail experiences is the physical store itself.

Ten employees from iQmetrix in Davidson spent Friday morning cleaning up Roosevelt Wilson Park and the shores of Lake Davidson. The corporate community service project for Earth Week was organized by Davidson Lands Conservancy.

iQmetrix recently made a cash donation Network Mission Coffee House in downtown Denver, Colorado. The funds will be used to provide day-to-day necessities for the less fortunate in Denver’s inner city.

Founded by Jim Hicks nearly 10 years ago, Network Missions strives to provide a safe warm place for a cup of coffee, a game a chess or just a conversation with people who care.
