The Winnipeg office, along with our other 3 North American Offices, kicked off summer with their annual iQBBQ celebration! We headed out to St. Vital Park where we cooked up some burgers, hot dogs, and smokies. We played volleyball, frisbee, lawn darts and even had bubble ball! Who knew ramming into your co-workers in a giant bubble would be so much fun. There were even kids sized bubbles, so everyone could have a turn. We even had a glitter face painter, as well as a piñata for the kids! Considering the forecast was calling for extreme thunderstorms all afternoon, we really lucked out with weather. It was a day full of fun, food and family, and a perfect way to kick off what has already been a beautiful summer in Winnipeg!
Who doesn’t like a good ole BBQ? As all the offices participated, the Davidson office had one heck of a shindig in June. Special guests were a bourbon smoked ham and a trash can turkey. Lots of cold drinks to beat the heat that day and water balloons helped too. Several people were the most targeted out of the group one being an executive and the other an enterprise account manager! There was way too much fun with the water balloons. Though we had a very intense thunder and lightning storm, we had a great time!
Last week Rachel hosted clambake with a wonderful scavenger hunt. As coworkers ran around trying to find the items on the list, we have a few very competitive people who hid items. Apparently we need to lay out all rules prior to beginning any type of game.
The month of June was crazy in the iQRegina office this year. We were able to surpass our Heart & Stroke Big Bike fundraising goal, and hit $5,325.00 in this office alone. We also participated in our very first pride week. During the week, we were able to donate blood to bring awareness about some of the speculations on giving blood, and showed our iQPride in the QCPride Parade. We had a great response across the board, and it was amazing to see everyone contribute!
To wrap up the month of June, we finished up SLICCE Days with the annual iQBBQ. We switched up the location this year, and held it in right in the middle of YQR, at Victoria Park. We had absolutely beautiful weather, great food, cold drinks, and a ton of iQer’s family and friends. We also had lots of arcade games for the kids, along with a few games of soccer. The location was a great adjustment to this year’s iQBBQ, and I think it is safe to say that we will hosting in Victoria Park again.
In Vancouver our Ready team got together to brew up a fresh new promotional ad. The video was shot at the Burrard Public House, Ready’s first beta client and location, to give further insight on the app and how it will improve the customer experience in the restaurant industry. Here’s a sneak peek from the shoot and be sure to keep an eye out for the debut!
