Staff from the iQmetrix Davidson office recently volunteered (Nov. 7) with Habitat for Humanity in Huntersville, NC.
On February 28th, a group from the Davidson office volunteered at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen. They serve over 4,000 meals monthly, averaging 150–200 meals per day.
In early February 2013, iQmetrix brought all of us employees (that had worked with the company for at least a year) on a one-week company retreat to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. A day of team building was scheduled as part of the week’s activities. But instead of playing games on the beach, we wanted to make a difference.
iQmetrix was a proud Silver Sponsor of We Day Vancouver, held on Thursday, Oct. 13 at Rogers Arena. iQmetrix staff volunteered at We Day Vancouver as well as at We Day Winnipeg, Nov. 23, helping out with the Honored Guest and Seating Teams.
iQmetrix just finished up a company-wide training program available to all employees. It was called Authentic Leadership. It consisted of a one-day session, customized for iQmetrix and delivered by Bob Hornsberger of Whole Person Training & Consulting of Regina. Over 140 employees in four offices (and a few visitors from our satellite locations) took the training. Perhaps we shouldn’t say “finished,” though. We should say “started.” It felt more like a beginning.
A number of employees from the iQmetrix Vancouver office volunteered at the CBC Vancouver broadcast headquarters on Friday, Dec. 3, answering phones and accepting donations for British Columbia Food Banks. The fundraising drive surpassed its goal of $400,000 to help the Food Banks this holiday season.
I had the privilege of attending TEDxVancouver 2010, held at the Kay Meek Centre in West Vancouver on Saturday (Nov. 27). I'd seen TEDTalks online, so I had an idea of what to expect. What I attended was everything I expected and a lot more.
Well, Movember 2010 has come to a conclusion for the iQmetrix Moustache Alliance, and this has been our greatest year yet. Here are the last week's highlights:
We're coming into the home stretch for Movember 2010 at iQmetrix, and it's been a great one. Our company team has raised $3,133 as of this morning, putting us 680th overall in Canada as a team. Iain is still rocking the lead at $630, with Bill S. in second with $400.
