iQmetrix Winnipeg Grand Opening: Tuesday, April 28

WINNIPEG, MB – April 14, 2015 – iQmetrix is pleased to invite members of the media to the grand opening of its new office location at the Centrepoint complex (Unit 200 - 311 Portage Avenue) in downtown Winnipeg. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 28 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature a ribbon cutting, office tours, product demos and complimentary refreshments.

iQmetrix is an innovative software development firm headquartered in Vancouver. The company has had a Winnipeg office since 2008, when it acquired a competing company (Work Software Systems) whose development team was based in Winnipeg. Today, iQmetrix Winnipeg consists of more than 50 employees, with additional software developers, designers, business analysts and quality assurance testers expected to come on board at a rapid pace.

iQmetrix is also a reputed employer in Canada, having ranked on the Queen’s/Aon Hewitt list of Top 50 Small & Medium Employers for five consecutive years.

“We are ecstatic to open the doors to our new Winnipeg office,” says Thu Tran, iQmetrix’s Director of Winnipeg Operations. “This event is a great opportunity to introduce iQmetrix to the downtown Winnipeg business community, show people our space, and recognize many of the partnerships that have helped make iQmetrix a success in our city.”

Tran notes that several iQmetrix co-op students from the University of Manitoba and the Red River College have gone on to become full-time iQmetrix employees.

“We are also excited to be a part of the downtown revitalization plan,” Tran adds. “With this grand opening, we’d like to show visitors that iQmetrix is an example of a cool, young, tech company with operations here in Winnipeg.”
